"Film-to-glass switchable glazing" was invented by Andrew DeMiglio (Savage, Minn.), Eric Bjergaard (Minneapolis), Hari Atkuri (Plymouth, Minn.) and Nicholas Schleder (Saint Paul, Minn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A privacy glazing structure may include an electrically controllable optically active material, such as a liquid crystal material, sandwiched between a flexible substrate and a rigid substrate.
