US Patent Issued to Canon on May 12 for "Ranging device" (Japanese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,625,271, issued on May 12, was assigned to Canon K.K. (Tokyo).

"Ranging device" was invented by Yasuyo Sakamoto (Kanagawa, Japan) and Masashi Niwa (Chiba, Japan).
