ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,596,861, issued on April 7, was assigned to Cadence Design Systems Inc. (San Jose, Calif.).

"Efficient delay calculations in replicated designs" was invented by Igor Keller (Pleasanton, Calif.), Nikita Sergeev (Cork, Israel), Pradeep Yadav (Gautam Buddh Nagar, India) and Maksim Baranov (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is an improved approach to implement sharing of delay calculations for replicated portions of a design, where input slews may be different between those replicated design portions. This allows the system to experience runtime improvements for timing analysis of electronic designs."
