ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,610,733, issued on April 21, was assigned to Brown University (Providence, R.I.).

"Perovskite solar cells with self assembled monolayers" was invented by Nitin P. Padture (Providence, R.I.) and Zhenghong Dai (Providence, R.I.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A laminated structure is prepared by providing a self-assembled monolayer between an ETL and an MHP layer, wherein the self-assembled monolayer is formed by a monomer having the formula halide-alkyl linker-anchor moiety."

The patent was filed on April 8, 2022, under Application No. 18/286,109.
