ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. PP37,376, issued on April 21, was assigned to Bridgestone Corp. (Chuo-ku, Japan).
"Guayule plant named 'E-B2WN-13167'" was invented by Von Mark Vicente Cruz (Casa Grande, Ariz.) and David Allen Dierig (Phoenix).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Parthenium argentatum named E-B2WN-13167 is disclosed, characterized by reduced internode lengths, shorter leaf peduncles, thicker leaves, lower number of flowers, aborted seed production, and slower growth."
The patent was filed on April 23, 2025, under Application No. 19/187,105.
