US Patent Issued to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations on June 23 for "Tire with spoke loops" (Ohio Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,661,930, issued on June 23, was assigned to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC (Nashville, Tenn.).

"Tire with spoke loops" was invented by Douglas B. Costlow (Akron, Ohio), Andrew V. Haidet (Silver Lake, Ohio), Adam K. Nesbitt (Akron, Ohio) and Sharon E. Reinhardt (Fairlawn, Ohio).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A nonpneumatic tire assembly includes an outer hoop, a plurality of loops extending inward from the outer hoop, and a hub having a plurality of members. Each of the plurality of members is connected to one of the plurality of loops."

The patent was filed on Oct. 7, 2024, under Application No. 18/908,151.
