ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,593,757, issued on April 7, was assigned to BRIDGELUX OPTOELECTRONICS (XIAMEN) Co. LTD. (Xiamen, China).

"Light-emitting diode for generating a multi-peak broadband blue-violet light spectrum" was invented by Ben-Jie Fan (Xiamen, China), Hung-Chih Yang (Xiamen, China) and Shuen-Ta Teng (Xiamen, China).

The light-emitting diode has a multiple quantum well structure for generating a light beam with a broadband blue-violet light spectrum.
