US Patent Issued to Botanical Innovation on June 30 for "Echeveria plant named 'BINL-77120108'" (Kenyan Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. PP37,510, issued on June 30, was assigned to Botanical Innovation B.V. (Netherlands).

"Echeveria plant named 'BINL-77120108'" was invented by Jacobus A.M. Nannes (Nairobi, Kenya).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Echeveria plant named 'BINL-77120108' is disclosed, characterized by flattened rosettes. Leaf color is intense greyed-purple, red-purple and brown leaf on aspices and margins with a fresh green base. The new cultivar is an Echeveria, typically used as an ornamental plant."

The patent was filed on Sept. 30, 2025, under Application No. 19/344,945.
