ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,663,060, issued on June 23, was assigned to BorgWarner Inc. (Auburn Hills, Mich.).
"Shuttling mechanical tensioner for control of chain drives with alternating tight and slack strands" was invented by Paul Freemantle (Lansing, N.Y.) and Timothy K. White (Sterling Heights, Mich.).
