ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,564,430, issued on March 3, was assigned to BLUE SKY TECHNOLOGIES LLC (Louisville, Ky.).

"Computerized process for making a patient-specific implant" was invented by Frank Castro (Louisville, Ky.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention is a process of making a patient-specific implant for a patient. The current process is adaptable to manufacture spinal and other implants for insertion into the patient."

The patent was filed on Dec. 24, 2022, under Application No. 18/088,531.
