ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,620,667, issued on May 5, was assigned to Black & Decker Inc. (New Britain, Conn.).
"Power tool having a multi-latch battery interface" was invented by Timothy J. Hennesy (Baltimore) and Michael Varipatis (Fallston, Md.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "This application relates to a cordless power tool system including a set of cordless power tools, a set of rechargeable and removable battery packs, and a set of battery pack chargers."
The patent was filed on March 26, 2024, under Application No. 18/617,006.
