ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,599,762, issued on April 14, was assigned to BIOTRONIK SE & Co. KG (Berlin).
"Lead anchor for a neuromodulation lead" was invented by Matthew Melius (Portland, Ore.), Julia Khoury Valentine (Corvallis, Ore.) and Eric Austin (Portland, Ore.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lead anchor for a neuromodulation lead has an anchor body that receives a portion of the lead. A mesh is arranged so as to at least partially surround the portion of the lead when the portion of the lead is received in the anchor body."
The patent was filed on Dec. 5, 2022, under Application No. 18/074,812.
