ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,579,526, issued on March 17, was assigned to Bank of America Corp. (Charlotte, N.C.).

"Targeted remote payments leveraging ultra-wideband (UWB) and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) sensor communications" was invented by Maneesh Kumar Sethia (Hyderabad, India), Shailendra Singh (Maharashtra, India), Sandeep Kumar Chauhan (Hyderabad, India), Saurabh Arora (Gurugram, India) and Nandini Rathaur (Mumbai, India).
