ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,590,072, issued on March 31, was assigned to AUTOBAHN THERAPEUTICS INC. (San Diego).
"Thyromimetics" was invented by Thomas von Geldern (Richmond, Ill.) and Bradley Backes (San Francisco).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed herein are thyromimetic compounds having utility for treating diseases such as neurodegenerative disorders and fibrotic diseases. Pharmaceutical compositions containing such compounds are also provided, as are methods of their preparation."
The patent was filed on June 17, 2021, under Application No. 18/002,035.
