According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A guide wire including a core shaft including a distal end portion having a pseudoelastic property, a tip joined to a distal end of the distal end portion of the core shaft, and an auxiliary wire that is arranged parallel to the distal end portion of the core shaft.
