ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,658,194, issued on June 16, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Transcoding audio frames and converting metadata frames based on a target encoder" was invented by Ravi Kiran Chivukula (San Jose, Calif.), Dipanjan Sen (Dublin, Calif.) and Tejaswi Nanjundaswamy (San Jose, Calif.).
