US Patent Issued to Apple on July 21 for "Active aggressor detection in pressure sensor port" (California Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,687,444, issued on July 21, was assigned to Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.).

"Active aggressor detection in pressure sensor port" was invented by Seow Yuen Yee (Mountain View, Calif.) and Michael J. Glickman (Mountain View, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Aspects of the subject technology relate to an apparatus having a housing, including a port exposed to an environment. The apparatus includes a pressure sensor disposed within the housing to measure a pressure of the environment. The pressure sensor includes a membrane to facilitate detection of a presence of an aggressor by using dynamic response analysis."
