ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,559,232, issued on Feb. 24, was assigned to Ampaire Inc. (Hawthorne, Calif.).
"Electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft" was invented by Damon Vander Lind (Hayward, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electric vertical takeoff and landing (EVTOL) aircraft is disclosed. In some aspects, the aircraft comprises a main wing, an empennage, two lift propulsors, and two lift/thrust propulsors each mounted on a tilt axis."
The patent was filed on May 31, 2022, under Application No. 17/828,760.
