"Asynchronous data set updates for accessing database partitions" was invented by James Alexander Morle (Dripping Springs, Texas), Marc Brooker (Seattle) and Matthys Strydom (Kirkland, Wash.).

The data set is stored with or cached for accessing different partitions of a database.
