US Patent Issued to AKTIEBOLAGET SKF on June 30 for "Rolling bearing with electrically insulating coating" (Chinese Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,669,147, issued on June 30, was assigned to AKTIEBOLAGET SKF (Gothenburg, Sweden).

"Rolling bearing with electrically insulating coating" was invented by Zhonghua Zou (Shanghai), Hongyan Wang (Shanghai) and Yanqin Gao (Shanghai).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electrically insulated bearing ring includes a polymeric insulating coating for blocking the passage of leakage currents, the coating being formed by spraying on at least one surface of the bearing ring. The electrically insulated bearing ring or rings may be incorporated into a rolling bearing."
