ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,621,362, issued on May 5, was assigned to Akamai Technologies Inc. (Cambridge, Mass.).

"Synchronizing independent media and data streams using media stream synchronization points" was invented by Mark M. Ingerman (Newton, Mass.) and Michael Archer (Cambridge, Mass.).
