ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 5 -- United States Patent no. 12,616,224, issued on May 5, was assigned to Air Protein Inc. (San Leandro, Calif.).
"Structured high-protein meat analogue compositions" was invented by John Reed (Pleasanton, Calif.), Dan Robertson (Pleasanton, Calif.) and Kripa Rao (Pleasanton, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Structured food compositions, such as meat analogue compositions, which include protein products from microorganisms, such as microorganism-derived protein hydrolysates, are described. Methods of making such products are also described."
The patent was filed on June 30, 2021, under Application No. 17/362,990.
