"Blackberry plant named 'AGV-22'" was invented by Hector Uri Gomez Alvarado (Techaluta de Montenegro Techal, Mexico).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The new and distinct variety of blackberry plant 'AGV-22' is provided. The variety can be distinguished by its outstanding features of crunchy and sweet fruit, fruit with long shelf life, high firmness, and low regression."
