ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,604,989, issued on April 21, was assigned to Adventech LLC (Newport, N.C.).
"Collapsible stool" was invented by Matthew F. Cagle (Morehead City, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A collapsible stool can be used in an open position and collapsed to a closed position. The collapsible stool includes first and second leg members. The first and second leg members can be rotatably coupled. A stop mechanism can be utilized to maintain the first and second leg members in open and closed positions."
The patent was filed on March 28, 2023, under Application No. 18/191,543.
