ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,730,494, issued on Sept. 8, was assigned to Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosed device includes heterogeneous chiplets that can communicate when each of the heterogenous chiplets has locally reached an idle state. Once receiving confirmations of the idle state from each of the heterogenous chiplets, the chiplets can complete the entry of the low power state.
