ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,687,031, issued on July 21, was assigned to Adena Masonry LLC (Mansfield, Ohio).
"Masonry lintel system" was invented by Brad P. Geissman (New Washington, Ohio) and Spencer Shipman (Galion, Ohio).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is a masonry lintel system containing a C-channel, bar stock, angle brace, and plurality of threaded bolts. A C-beam may rest upon the threaded bolts, allowing the C-beam to be installed to span an opening in a CMU masonry wall. The lintel system may thereby be removed from the masonry wall, after C-beam installation."
The patent was filed on Aug. 30, 2023, under Application No. 18/458,400.
