ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,584,609, issued on March 24, was assigned to ABL IP Holding LLC (Atlanta).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A lens for a light fixture has a plurality of protrusions for spreading a beam of light from a light source of the light fixture. The protrusions enable the lens to be used in different light fixtures while providing similar beam characteristics. In some configurations, the lens comprises texturing to further shape the beam."
