ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,690,789, issued on July 28, was assigned to Abbott Diabetes Care Inc. (Alameda, Calif.) and UNIVERSITY OF VIRGIINIA PATENT FOUNDATION (Charlottesville, Va.).
"Accuracy of continuous glucose sensors" was invented by Boris P. Kovatchev (Charlottesville, Va.) and Christopher R. King (Chicago).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method, apparatus, and a kit are capable of improving accuracy of CGS devices using dynamic outputs of continuous glucose sensors."
The patent was filed on March 7, 2024, under Application No. 18/598,133.
