ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,753,694, issued on Oct. 6, was assigned to 3SILK Inc. (Durham, N.C.).

"Fluid propulsion system" was invented by Charles Pell (Durham, N.C.), Hugh Crenshaw (Durham, N.C.) and Ryan Moody (Durham, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A propulsor is described in which rotation of the frustum of a right circular cylinder generates thrust. Variants of this basic geometrical shape are also described that enable multiple means for propelling fluid past the propulsor."

The patent was filed on Dec. 16, 2024, under Application No. 18/981,799.
