ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,740,633, issued on Sept. 22.
"Hands-free pet walker utility bag" was invented by Pilar Macchione (New York).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure relates to bag device worn on the shoulder or across the body that contains a pocket capable of securing a retractable leash and a double besom opening to allow threading of leash tether from inside the pocket to a pet harness outside the bag. This allows for walking a pet hands-free without the risk of the leash being inadvertently tangling or detaching from the bag. The bag is particularly useful for walking pets by individuals with physical impairments."
