According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A fit adjuster for a portion of a pant leg comprises a first strip attached to an inseam position of a pant leg and having a first unattached end; a second strip attached to an outseam position of the pant leg and having a second unattached end; a bow or knot provided between the first unattached end of the first strip and the second unattached end of the second strip; and a patch portion disposed between the pant leg and the first and second strips."
