ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 26 -- United States Patent no. PP37,444, issued on May 26.
"Sansevieria plant named 'Crystal Flame'" was invented by Leonardo Murillo (Alajuela, Costa Rica).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new and distinct cultivar of Sansevieria plant named 'Crystal Flame', characterized by its upright and conical plant shape; numerous sturdy and long linear leaves with acuminate apices; and leaves that are glossy and dark green in color with contrasting silvery green to light green-colored leaf margins."
The patent was filed on Aug. 4, 2025, under Application No. 19/289,547.
