ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,624,228, issued on May 12.

"Piezoceramic pastes with high ceramic content and method for printing same" was invented by Chantal Paquet (Ottawa), Silvio Elton Kruger (Brossard, Canada), Thomas Lacelle (Ottawa), Derek Aranguren Van Egmond (Ottawa) and Claudie Roy (Montreal).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed towards a formulation for piezoelectric materials. The formulation may be printed including 2D or 3D printing. The formulation contains ceramic particles, a sol-gel, a high boiling point solvent and a binder."

The patent was filed on Aug. 24, 2021, under Application No. 18/020,972.
