ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 12 -- United States Patent no. PP37,426, issued on May 12.
"Panicum virgatum plant named 'Dust in the Wind'" was invented by Brent Horvath (Fontana, Wis.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new, Panicum virgatum plant as described and illustrated, characterized by an upright plant habit, a height of 137 cm, leaf color that starts at 146 B with tips colored 200 B throughout the season, and much of the fall foliage color maturing to 200 C on top of some 146 B."
The patent was filed on April 7, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,539.
