According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A novel rowing machine attachment includes a bracket for attaching to a roller assembly of a rowing machine and a receiver for attaching to a handle of a rowing machine. In a particular embodiment, the bracket fixably attaches to the roller assembly and the receiver releasably attaches to the bracket for selective use. In a more particular embodiment, the bracket and the receiver are both integral parts of a single rigid body structure."
