According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention provides a flag-mounting device to be fastened onto a rail for securely mounting and holding a flag. The device includes a flagpole and a mounting apparatus that are made of strong material. The device is durable and easy to be installed onto a rail. The device can also be used on a pipe, a tube, or any objects with straight parallel sides and a circular or oval cross section. The present invention also provides a method for mounting a flag onto a rail."
