ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,577,807, issued on March 17.

"Vertically adjustable strike plate" was invented by W. Lynn Frazier (Corpus Christi, Texas).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A strike plate assembly is repeatedly vertically and securely adjustable to serial secure positions on a door jamb for securing a bolt without loosening or removing the assembly's jamb attachment screws and without resetting its jamb attachment screws within new jamb holes."

The patent was filed on Sept. 11, 2023, under Application No. 18/244,457.
