"Apparel fastener having integrated adjustable tensioner" was invented by Robert R. Reese (Colorado Springs, Colo.), Mark Soderberg (Conifer, Colo.) and Weyman Weems (Littleton, Colo.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An apparatus and method for fastening apparel with a fastener having an integrated and adjustable tensioner that facilitates a precise fitment of the apparel when worn."

The patent was filed on May 12, 2023, under Application No. 18/196,624.
