"Adaptable nursing garment" was invented by Mackenzie Lynn Swiger (Holly Springs, N.C.) and John Carl Bergstrom (Burlington, Conn.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An adaptable nursing garment designed to provide comfort and support during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The adaptable nursing garment is designed for one-handed operation to enable breastfeeding without removal of the strapless nursing garment. The adaptable nursing garment includes a nursing bra including a plurality of supports, a plurality of fasteners, and an elastic component."
