According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The shoe crease abatement system may include a pair of shoe stretchers and shoe conditioner. The pair of shoe stretchers may be inserted into toe boxes of a pair of shoes and may stretch the toe boxes in a vertical direction to prevent creases from forming at folds across the tops of the pair of shoes. The shoe conditioner may be applied to the pair of shoes to soften the pair of shoes in preparation for stretching.
