US Patent Issued on June 30 for "Method for producing motor fuel from ethanol" (Swedish Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,668,750, issued on June 30.

"Method for producing motor fuel from ethanol" was invented by Igor Goloubkov (Lidingo, Sweden).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for making C7-C12 aromatic compounds includes reacting a mixture comprising C2-C5 olefins and C1-C4 paraffins under conditions sufficient to form a reaction product mixture comprising a liquid phase and a gas phase, wherein the liquid phase comprises the C7-C12 aromatic hydrocarbons and wherein the gas phase comprises hydrogen and C1-C4 paraffins. The liquid phase is then separated from the gas phase."

The patent was filed on Dec. 27, 2023, under Application No. 18/396,797.
