ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,667,763, issued on June 30.
"Collapsible golf putting game using football points for scoring" was invented by Ira Philip Ackerman (Baltimore).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A competitive skill game of alternating players putting a golf ball on a mat with the mat resembling a football field wherein the end of the mat is provided with a backboard having mouseholes for putting through whose openings or widths vary such that scoring is dependent upon the width of the mousehole, the wider the mousehole the fewer the points "won" by the putting player."
The patent was filed on Dec. 12, 2022, under Application No. 18/079,208.
