ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 15 -- United States Patent no. 12,662,659, issued on June 23.

"Method for promoting and improving properties of adipose tissue , tissue and cells obtained by said method" was invented by Alfredo Gorio (Milan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method for promoting anti-inflammatory properties and for improving repair ability of a tissue containing mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) includes causing a mechanical activation by applying a orbital shaking force on an adipose tissue lipoaspirated or removed from a body."

The patent was filed on Dec. 28, 2016, under Application No. 16/066,976.
