"Tape product" was invented by Hiroaki Rikihisa (Yokohama, Japan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The tape product prevents wounds on skin when peeling off a tape member from occurring. The tape product 100 includes a tape member 10 having an adhesive surface, and a mesh member 20 releasably provided on the adhesive surface of the tape member 10. When the tape product 100 is applied to skin, the adhesive surface of the tape member 10 adheres to the skin through the openings 21 of the mesh member 20."
