"Flowerpot shade apparatus" was invented by Sharon Baquedo-Phinn (Poinciana, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed embodiments provide a shading apparatus for a flowerpot. Anchors attach a shade (canopy) to the flowerpot. The shade can be adjusted to an extended position to provide shade, or a retracted position to allow direct sunlight to reach one or more plants in the flowerpot."
The patent was filed on June 10, 2024, under Application No. 18/738,530.
