ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 24 -- United States Patent no. 12,560,847, issued on Feb. 24.
"Smart glass with near-field wireless connectivity" was invented by James William Masten Jr. (Everett, Wash.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A smart glass window that receives power and control signals without physical wiring connections to the window simplifies the installation procedure, reduces wiring and labor costs and enables moving windows or movable glass curtain walls."
The patent was filed on Nov. 16, 2022, under Application No. 18/056,234.
