"Barmaster drink delivery system" was invented by Paul Salvatore Mula (San Jose, Calif.) and Scott C Harris (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A drink ordering and dispensing system. A drink is ordered, and placed into a database. When drinks or poor, they are associated with the drinks that have been in the database. Once the drink is poured, the weight of the container before and after pouring is used to determine if the drink has been over poured.
