According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A waist fan includes a main unit configured to be worn on a user's body; and a fan unit detachably arranged on the main unit. The main unit supplies power to the fan unit to enable the fan unit to perform airflow delivery. When the fan unit is detachably arranged on the main unit, the fan unit is electrically connected to the main unit directly or via a connection cable. When the fan unit is detached from the main unit, the fan unit is electrically connected to the main unit via the connection cable."
