ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. PP37,268, issued on Feb. 17.

"Cherry tree named 'FE'" was invented by Leslie Mccartney (Bozeman, Mont.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A tart cherry tree named 'FE' which produces an excellent flavored fruit well suited for fresh eating, as well as for food and juice and wine products. The tart cherry tree named 'FE' may be characterized by its very late fruit harvest and exceptional cold hardiness."

The patent was filed on Jan. 31, 2025, under Application No. 18/831,469.
