ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 7 -- United States Patent no. 12,595,273, issued on April 7.

"Phosphonate conjugates and uses thereof" was invented by Hariprasad Vankayalapati (Draper, Utah), Sunil Sharma (Phoenix) and Alana L. Welm (Park City, Utah).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Phosphonate conjugates, preferably, bisphosphonate conjugates: methods of inhibiting Ron receptor tyrosine kinase and methods of treatment of bone destruction due to cancer or other conditions utilizing the provided phosphonate conjugates."

The patent was filed on Jan. 15, 2020, under Application No. 17/422,689.
